01 — The neighbourhood
The last streets before the hill.
Šentvid is a residential district in the north-west of Ljubljana, arranged along the old road towards Gorenjska. There are family houses, a church, a few shops and the wooded shoulder of Šmarna gora rising behind them. Our three homes sit on Medenska cesta, a side street off the main road, behind a gate and a private parking area.
It is not the old town, and it does not try to be. What it offers is space, free parking and a quiet night — with the Ljubljana basin, the castle and the river only a short drive away. For a city break it is a calmer alternative to a hotel room; for a walking trip it is a practical base at the foot of the hill.

Distances are measured from Medenska cesta 8. Driving times are typical, not guaranteed — Ljubljana’s ring road can be busy between 07:00 and 09:00.

Park behind the gate, walk straight in.
There is free private parking on site, one space per home, behind the gate. You do not need to reserve it and there is nothing to pay on arrival. The courtyard is paved and level, with a short walk from the car to each door.
Check-in runs from 15:00 to 23:59 and is self-service. We send the gate and key details before your stay, so a late flight from Brnik does not require anyone to wait up. Check-out is between 06:00 and 10:00.

By car, bus or plane.
By bus
City buses connect Šentvid with the centre of Ljubljana; the stop is a short walk from the homes. Taxis and ride-hailing are easy to find in the centre for the return journey.
By plane
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is 13 km away, about fifteen minutes by car or taxi. Self check-in means a late arrival is straightforward.
A note on noise. This is a residential street, and the homes share a courtyard. Quiet hours are 22:00–06:00, bachelor and bachelorette parties are not accepted, and music should stay indoors. In return, you get a garden where the loudest thing is usually a blackbird.
